PELOPS THE VICTOR IN THE DARK FANTASY MMORPG RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS

Check out our guide on how to use the Legendary Argonite Champion, Pelops the Victor, in RAID: Shadow Legends, and fight for the glory!

WHY USE PELOPS THE VICTOR IN RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS?

A protective tank who seeks to control and manipulate the battlefield in favor of his allies, Pelops the Victor is a natural-born winner. His skills capitalize on opportunities that present themselves when fighting enemies who are under HP Burn debuffs whilst also mitigating damage that allies receive. He’ll excel in all manner of wave-based content, and fighting Bosses who are susceptible to HP Burn debuffs.

HOW TO GET PELOPS THE VICTOR IN RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS?

Pelops the Victor is available for Fusion at the Portal during RAID’s 7th Anniversary celebration between 5th and 21st March, 2026. During and after the Fusion Event ends, players will be able to summon Pelops the Victor from Ancient, Primal, and Sacred Shards, and from the Prism Shard using Prism Crystals during specific Summon Pool Events.

WHAT ARE PELOPS THE VICTOR’S SKILLS?

When paired with a fellow Champion who can consistently and reliably place HP Burn debuffs on enemies, Pelops the Victor unleashes the power that saw him achieve glory in more than ten Gymnastikons. He blunts his enemies’ blades, ignores their defenses, and bestows boons upon his allies while passively hindering his foes further.

    • Triumphant Blow – Attacks 1 enemy. Has a 75% chance of placing a 50% Decrease ATK debuff for 2 turns. This debuff cannot be resisted or blocked if the target is under a HP Burn debuff.
    • Gorgoa’s Bane – Attacks 1 enemy. Will ignore 50% of the target’s DEF if the target is under a HP Burn debuff. The damage inflicted by this skill increases by 10% for every turn remaining on any debuffs on this Champion and the target (stacks up to 200%). If the damage inflicted by this skill is less than 50% of the target’s MAX HP, steals all buffs from the target and places a Stun debuff on them for 2 turns. These effects cannot be resisted if the target is under a HP Burn debuff.
    • Victor’s Bounty – Active Effect – Places a 50% Increase ATK buff and a Magma Shield buff on all allies for 2 turns. The value of the Magma Shield is equal to 30% of this Champion’s MAX HP. Also places a Taunt buff on this Champion for 2 turns. Passive Effect – Decreases the damage all allies receive by 20% while this Champion is not under a Decrease DEF debuff.
    • Master of Games [P] – [Passive Effect] This Champion is immune to Stun, HP Burn, and Petrification debuffs. Whenever an enemy attacks this Champion, has a 100% chance of placing a HP Burn debuff on that enemy for 2 turns. The chance decreases to 50% if this Champion is under a Decrease DEF debuff. Occurs once per enemy skill. Whenever an enemy attacks this Champion, also has a 50% chance of placing a Petrification debuff on that enemy for 1 turn. The chance decreases to 25% if this Champion is under a Decrease DEF debuff. Occurs once per enemy skill.

Pelops the Victor also has an Aura that increases all allies’ Resistance by 60 in all battles.

PELOPS THE VICTOR RECOMMENDATIONS

With a well-rounded kit that blends protective buffs and crowd-controlling debuffs, Pelops the Victor more than lives up to his name on the battlefield. He’s a powerhouse unit who can take any player’s raiding to the next level, but will be particularly beneficial for teams that already have a consistent HP Burn-placer and are in need of a tanky HP-type Champion.

MASTERIES

Pelops the Victor can be built two ways in RAID: Shadow Legends. The first is as an out-and-out tank, a wholly defensive unit who stands to protect his allies in the heat of battle. The other is as an accurate Champion who seeks to land plenty of debuffs on his foes, and often. You could build Pelops as a mix of the two, a hybrid tank-debuffer, if you have the substats and Gear available to do so. In terms of Masteries, you’ll need to decide which way you want to go with them.

Should you choose to focus on building Pelops as a defensive powerhouse, we recommend focusing your attention down the left-hand side of the Defense Mastery Tree. Along the way, you’ll pick up valuable Masteries such as Tough Skin for extra Defense, Shadow Heal to keep Pelops in the fight while his enemies are healing, and Selfless Defender to make sure Pelops is on hand to help his allies start a battle on the right foot. This all culminates in picking up Bulwark at Tier 6, which decreases the damage all allies receive by 5%, ensuring Pelops takes that damage for himself instead.

If you’re looking to build Pelops in a way that makes the most out of the debuffs he can place from his skills, then your focus should be on the right-hand side of the Support Mastery Tree instead. There, you can pick up Pinpoint Accuracy and Charged Focus for additional Accuracy, Swam Smiter for even more Accuracy when fighting multiple enemies, and Sniper for an increased chance at placing debuffs from skills or Gear. Finally, grab Eagle-Eye at Tier 6 for a massive boost to your Accuracy, helping you land debuffs against enemies with particularly high Resistance.

GEAR

Pelops’ main role in any team he finds himself in is that of a tank and crowd controller, so focusing on his Accuracy and Defense stats is a must. If you have the right Gear, you can also build into his HP to make him even tankier, but you’re going to want to focus on getting Defense and Defense % substats on the Weapon, Helmet, and Shield pieces of Gear, with Defense %, Accuracy, and Speed as your primary stats on the Gauntlets, Chestplate, and Boots respectively.

In terms of which Gear Sets to focus on, there are different options depending on where you play RAID the most. For PvP such as Arena and Siege, Stone Skin, Mercurial, and Perception Gear will be most beneficial. Stone Skin offers a variety of bonuses to Resistance, HP %, and Defense %, as well as the invaluable Stone Skin buff, while Mercurial offers HP %, Speed, Resistance, and stacks of Total Guard, which block any instance of damage and any associated effects. Perception is a perfect two-piece Gear addition which can add a little extra Accuracy and Speed for those that find themselves needing it.

Contending with PvE game modes such as the Doom Tower, Cursed City, and Grim Forest will require a different approach for building Pelops, focusing on Gear Sets such as Guardian and Regeneration. Guardian is a 4-piece Set that enables the wearer to absorb 10% of all damage dealt to allies while healing by 10% at the start of their turns, while Regeneration is a 4-piece Set that heals the wearer by 15% at the start of their turn. Both are perfect for a tank such as Pelops, granting him extra survivability, with Guardian allowing Pelops to defend his allies further.

BLESSINGS

For Pelops the Victor, blessings are many. In RAID however, there are two specific Blessings that can take his gameplay to the next level. First is Incinerate, an Epic Blessing that helps Champions in the Arena demolish their way through Stone Skin buffs and dish out extra damage from HP Burn debuffs. The other choice would be Polymorph, a reliable Legendary Blessing that grants a Champion a chance at turning their enemies into Sheep whenever they receive a debuff from that enemy. Both are valuable in the Arena, which is where Pelops will likely shine as a protective unit for his allies.

PELOPS THE VICTOR TACTICS

Pelops’ main role in any given team is that of a hybrid between protective tank and debuffer, punishing those who attack him with debuffs that choke the life out of an enemy team and pave the way for a damage dealer to clean up shop.

His Triumphant Blow default skill grants him a strong chance to weaken an enemy’s attack, which becomes unresistable if the enemy in question is under a HP Burn debuff, which he can place with his Master of Games passive skill whenever he’s hit by an enemy. He’ll also have a chance at placing Petrification debuffs, further ruining the enemy team’s plans.

Once an enemy is under a HP Burn debuff, Pelops goes to town on them. Gorgoa’s Bane will ignore 50% of a target’s Defense if they’re under a HP Burn debuff, with the skill’s damage further increasing for every turn remaining on any debuffs. A great debuff extender like Lady Mikage will make this skill hit extremely hard. And if the skill doesn’t hit hard, Pelops will steal all the target’s buffs and give them a Stun debuff for good measure. Finally, Victor’s Bounty lets Pelops share the fruits of his labor with his teammates, bestowing them with buffs to both protect them and enhance their attacking power.

He’ll excel in a lot of the different game modes that RAID: Shadow Legends has to offer, from the upper echelons of the Arena to simply tanking hits for his allies in the Cursed City or Grim Forest.

PELOPS THE VICTOR TEAM COMBINATIONS

Pairing Pelops with the best Champions possible means ensuring that HP Burn is the focus of the team composition. A great Champion who can consistently place HP Burn debuffs is a must, someone such as the Legendary Support Champion from the Lizardmen, Sulfuryion. His kit focuses on placing HP Burn debuffs, then reaping the rewards with Turn Meter boosts and heals.

Pelops will also benefit from a Champion who can remove debuffs, and a damage-dealer on the team to dish out some major damage. One particularly great Champion for Pelops is Rathalos Blademaster, whose damage increases when he’s attacking enemies who are under HP Burn debuffs. Paired with Sulfuryion’s near-constant HP Burn application, heals, and Turn Meter boosts, and Pelops’ debuffs on enemies, Rathalos has the chance to unleash devastating damage against his foes.

PELOPS THE VICTOR KEY INFO

STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES
  • Capitalizes on passively-placed HP Burn debuffs to guarantee extra debuff placement.
  • Places valuable buffs for the team, both protecting them and enhancing their damage dealt.
  • Passive damage reduction means allies have a greater chance at staying in fights for longer without needing to be revived.
  • Needs to be paired with the right Champions & have enemies under specific debuffs to unlock his true potential.
  • Multiple ways to build him – be careful not to spread the stats too thin so that he becomes ineffective.
  • Relies on other Champions to deal the damage – he’s much more of a tank than a HP-scaling nuker.
