MEET THE CHAMPION: STAG KNIGHT

A knight of legend whose righteousness helps protect the denizens of Kaerok from would-be tyrants and corrupt kings, Stag Knight is a fabled warrior from within the ranks of the Banner Lords. Discover the Stag Knight’s skills and learn what makes this antler-adorned warrior one of the best fighters in the dark fantasy RPG, RAID: Shadow Legends.

Check out our guide on how to use the Epic Banner Lords Champion Stag Knight, and bring justice to the kingdom of Kaerok!

WHY PLAY STAG KNIGHT IN RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS?

Despite only having two active skills in his kit, Stag Knight is one of the most powerful and sought-after Epic Champions in the entirety of RAID: Shadow Legends. Across his two skills, Stag Knight can place three of the most important debuffs in the game: Decrease Speed, Decrease Attack, and Decrease Defense. When paired with any damage-dealer and tank Champion, Stag Knight can enable some very high damage numbers and quick completion times.

Whether you need someone to debuff your opponents and pave the way for your attackers to clean up, or you’re looking to outspeed your opponents and increase your ally’s Accuracy, Stag Knight is a must-have ally in RAID: Shadow Legends.

HOW TO GET STAG KNIGHT IN RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS?

Stag Knight can be acquired by summoning him from Ancient, Primal & Sacred Shards at the Portal. He can also be summoned from the Prism Shard using Prism Crystals during a Summon Pool Event, as long as Stag Knight is one of the limited Champions available in a Summon Pool Event.

WHAT ARE STAG KNIGHT’S SKILLS?

Though he only has two active skills, Stag Knight is a powerful Champion that can place some of the most valuable and sought-after debuffs in RAID: Shadow Legends.

  • Spot Quarry – Attacks 1 enemy 2 times. Each hit has a 30% chance of placing a 30% Decrease Speed debuff for 2 turns.
  • Huntmaster – Attacks all enemies. Has a 70% chance of placing a 60% Decrease Defense and a 50% Decrease Attack debuff for 2 turns.
  • Lead The Pack [P] – Places a 50% Increase Accuracy buff on an ally for 1 turn each time the ally has a debuff resisted by an enemy.

STAG KNIGHT RECOMMENDATIONS

With such a simple, yet incredibly effective kit at his disposal, Stag Knight is a Champion that can easily slot into almost any team on any account for any player. He can deal respectable amounts of damage for a Support-type Champion, but his debuff placement is where it’s at for most players. As Epic Champions can now also Empowered, be sure to keep a hold of any duplicate Stag Knights to make your primary one more powerful! Check out our recommendations for the perfect Gear, Masteries, Blessings, and more to get the most out of Stag Knight in RAID: Shadow Legends!

MASTERIES

Stag Knight’s primary role within any team is a debuffer, setting up opponents for his damage-dealing allies to come in and knock them down quickly and efficiently. As such, any Mastery build for Stag Knight should focus on increasing his Speed and Accuracy, or increasing the chance to land debuffs on enemies. Stag Knight will get the most utility from the Support Mastery Tree, building towards the Tier 6 Mastery Eagle-Eye for a massive +50 to his Accuracy. Along the way, be sure to pick up Masteries such as Pinpoint Accuracy, Charged Focus, and Swarm Smiter for additional Accuracy, as well as either Sniper or Master Hexer, or both, at Tier 5.

Stag Knight’s additional Mastery Tree will very much depend on where you plan to use him most. For PvE content such as Dungeons, the Doom Tower, and Clan Bosses, you’ll want to focus on the Offense Mastery Tree with a view to grabbing the Tier 6 Mastery Warmaster for a chance to deal bonus damage against some of RAID: Shadow Legend’s toughest opponents. For PvP content in the Arena, survivability will be a key factor for Stag Knight. Grab Tough Skin and Blastproof for additional Defense and damage reduction, as well as Cycle of Revenge at Tier 5 for a chance to increase Stag Knight’s Turn Meter.

GEAR

Ensuring that Stag Knight has the right gear to support his allies in battle is relatively easy given the elegant and simplistic nature of his skills – just make him fast, accurate, and tanky! In terms of stat prioritization, this can be pretty easy to sort. We’d recommend HP as the primary stat on the Gauntlets, with Accuracy on the Chestplate, and Speed for the Boots. Prioritizing the sub stats should focus on the same areas – Speed, Accuracy, and HP, with additional sub stats including Defense % for extra survivability and Critical Rate if you can get it.

In terms of Artifact Sets, we’d again recommend anything that increases Stag Knight’s ability to survive and land debuffs. Perception is a great 2-piece Artifact Set that boosts both Accuracy and Speed, and another 2-piece Set, Impulse, offers a 12% increase to Speed with a 12% chance to reduce a random skill’s cooldown by 1 turn. Impulse works particularly well for Stag Knight, as he will only ever have one skill on cooldown.

BLESSINGS

As an Epic Champion, Stag Knight won’t be able to access Legendary Blessings but there are other options that work perfectly well for him. The first of these options is the Epic Blessing from the Dark Divinity, Cruelty, which decreases an opponent’s Defense whenever a Champion with Cruelty hits them, up to a certain percentage. Being able to decrease an opponent’s Defense with each hit from Stag Knight would be great on its own, but this is a Champion that excels when built with plenty of Speed. Taking turns often while placing debuffs and decreasing Defense at the same time is a great option.

Stag Knight would also benefit from the two Epic Blessings from the Harmony Divinity – Neutralize and Nature’s Wrath. Neutralize gives Stag Knight a chance to land debuffs on weak hits when attacking enemies under Poison Cloud buffs – it’s a great way to deal with the Head of Blight when fighting the Hydra Clan Boss, as it’ll place a Poison Cloud buff on all Hydra Heads. The other option, Nature’s Wrath, increases the damage inflicted by a Champion for every debuff they have successfully placed, except for debuffs placed by Gear Sets. With the ability to place three debuffs across two skills, Stag Knight can dish out some serious pain with this Blessing.

STAG KNIGHT TACTICS

Stag Knight can be a real game-changer for most early, mid, or even late-game accounts. If you’re looking for a Support Champion that can weaken the enemy’s defenses, blunt the enemy’s attack, and slow them down all while dealing damage themselves, then look no further. Check out our recommendations on how to use Stag Knight in RAID: Shadow Legends!

DUNGEONS

Tackling Dungeons is something of a specialty for Stag Knight. His kit is very much focused around taking the sting out of an enemy’s attack, and carving open their defenses, paving the way for your stronger Attack-type Champions to survive longer and hit harder. Whether it’s any of the Gear Dungeons, Akumori, Al-Naemeh, or the Iron Twins; Stag Knight is an easy pick for your team.

DOOM TOWER

With it primarily being wave-based PvE content, Stag Knight is an excellent choice for clearing Rooms in the Doom Tower. With his second skill, Huntmaster, being on a short cooldown and attacking all enemies, Stag Knight can help clear out waves of enemies very effectively.

FACTION WARS

There are some great damage-dealing Champions in the Banner Lords Faction, especially some that have been free to claim such as Rathalos Blademaster and Ronda. Both of those are able to take full advantage of Stag Knight’s ability to place Decrease Defense, killing enemies fast to ensure you earn all three stars when completing each Stage.

STAG KNIGHT TEAM COMBINATIONS

Team composition is key, and as a Support-type Champion, Stag Knight can be your primary debuffer. Stag Knight is very similar to the Rare Champion Warmaiden, in that he can also place a 60% Decrease Defense debuff on an entire team and pave the way for a damage-dealing Champion such as Sun Wukong to easily defeat a wave of foes in one fell swoop.

However, despite being a Support-type Champion, Stag Knight lacks the ability to offer any healing to your team. You’ll need to ensure your team has someone like Lightsworn who, although he cannot heal, can place Revive on Death buffs across your entire team. Wurlim Frostking is another Champion who can offer protection, in the form of Increase Defense and Strengthen buffs, ensuring Stag Knight can survive long enough to keep placing those Decrease Defense, Decrease Attack, and Decrease Speed debuffs.
