MEET THE CHAMPION: THOR FAEHAMMER

A commanding Champion has descended on the dark fantasy world of RAID: Shadow Legends! Before the Fae court of Asgard hid itself, the hardy peoples of Frostheim revered one fabled warrior above all – the mighty Thor Faehammer.

Whether he was tying the Demon-serpent Jorgunmundr into an unsolvable knot, or slaying Dragonkin assassins hell-bent on killing Odin Faefather, or butchering Rimetitans in the Jotunn-breaking, Thor became renowned for his great deeds.

However, for all his victories, it was Thor’s friendship with Loki the Deceiver that he treasured most. They spent years adventuring across the Redspikes together, beholding the majesty of the world and sharing in tales of might and wonder. Thor was heartbroken, therefore, when his best friend disappeared without a word. His grief grew stronger when, years later, Freyja Fateweaver began having visions of Loki plotting a scheme that would unravel Teleria itself.

Odin Faefather ordered Thor to apprehend Loki and return him to Asgard for judgment. With Mjolnir in hand, Thor set out to search for his former friend, thus beginning The Asgard Divide.

Thor Faehammer, RAID: Shadow Legends champion

Check out our guide on how to use the Legendary Barbarian Champion Thor Faehammer in RAID: Shadow Legends, and unleash the thunder upon your enemies!

Thor Faehammer is a destructive force of nature, armed with a set of skills that are focused around dealing incredible amounts of damage to an entire enemy team. He can increase his own damage output by placing Increase Attack and Increase Critical Damage buffs on himself, and every hit increases Thor’s Thunder counter, which increases his damage further.

If you need a mighty warrior to dominate the battlefield and rain down devastation upon your foes, Thor Faehammer is the perfect Champion for your Collection in RAID: Shadow Legends.

HOW TO GET THOR FAEHAMMER IN RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS?

Thor Faehammer will be available to fuse during Thor’s Fusion Event from September 5, 2024 to September 20, 2024. During this time, and after Thor’s Fusion Event ends, you’ll also be able to summon Thor from Ancient, Primal and Sacred Shards. He may also be summoned from the Prism Shard using Prism Crystals during a Summon Pool Event.

WHAT ARE THOR FAEHAMMER’S SKILLS?

Thor Faehammer’s skills in RAID: Shadow Legends are all about dealing massive damage to an entire enemy team. Aside from his first skill, which has the potential to attack a single enemy up to four times, Thor will smite all opposing Champions with each of his other two active skills, and his passive skill too. Check out the full list of Thor Faehammer’s skills in RAID: Shadow Legends!

  • Wrath of Mjolnir – Attacks 1 enemy 2 times. Has a 20% chance of repeating the attack. Each hit decreases the target’s Turn Meter by 10%.
  • Fulminous Ricochet – Attacks all enemies. After hitting the first enemy, will hit every other enemy in a random order. Following the initial hit, each subsequent hit increases the damage inflicted by 25% (stacks up to 100%). Will ignore Block Damage and Unkillable buffs. This effect does not work against Bosses.
  • Hammer of Heaven – Attacks all enemies. Before attacking, places a 50% Increase ATK buff and a 30% Increase C.DMG buff on this Champion for 2 turns. Has a 75% chance of permanently decreasing the RES of each enemy by 10% (stacks up to 50%). Also has a 75% chance of placing a 30% Decrease SPD debuff on all enemies for 2 turns.
  • Sky Rupture [P] – Every time this Champion deals damage, increases the Thunder counter by 1 (stacks up to 10). Each Thunder stack increases this Champion’s DMG by 3% (stacks up to 30%). Once the Thunder counter reaches 10, attacks all enemies and places a Stun debuff for 1 turn. After the attack, the Thunder counter resets to 0.

Thor Faehammer also has an Aura that increases the Attack of all allies in all battles by 30%.

THOR FAEHAMMER RECOMMENDATIONS

Some Champions in RAID: Shadow Legends can fulfill multiple roles, but not Thor Faehammer. He’s an all-out damage dealer, raining thunderous destruction down upon his foes with powerful AoE attacks that leave enemy teams torn asunder. If you’re looking for the perfect Attack-type Champion to complement your team, then check out our recommendations for the perfect Gear, Masteries, Blessings, and more to get the most out of Thor Faehammer in RAID: Shadow Legends!

MASTERIES

Given his propensity for damage-dealing, any Masteries chosen for Thor Faehammer should focus on dealing increased damage to multiple foes at once.

We therefore recommend that you focus on building down the left-hand side of the Offense Mastery Tree, picking up Masteries such as Deadly Precision, Keen Strike, and Whirlwind of Death. At Tier 4, you should pick up Wrath of the Slain for extra damage, and then Kill Streak at Tier 5 for even more damage when killing opponents in the Arena.

Depending on whether you’re building Thor Faehammer for PvE or PvP content will determine which Tier 6 Offense Mastery you choose. Warmaster is ideal for taking on high HP targets such as Bosses, as it has a chance to inflict bonus damage. Helmsmasher, on the other hand, has a 50% chance to ignore 25% of a target’s defense. With Thor hitting all enemies on multiple skills, this is a great choice for the Arena.

To effectively complement the Offense Mastery Tree, you’ll want to pick up Masteries from the Defense Tree to give Thor some survivability in a fight. Defiant at Tier 1 will grant Thor some Resistance to help fend off any nasty crowd control debuffs, and Improved Parry at Tier 2 will enable Thor to take less damage from critical hits. For further survivability, build down the right-hand side of the Defense Mastery Tree, picking up Wisdom of Battle, Stubbornness, and Deterrence at Tiers 3, 4, and 5 respectively.

GEAR

We recommend building Thor Faehammer as you would any other damage dealer with powerful area-of-effect attacks – focus on getting your Attack and Critical Damage stats as high as you possibly can to achieve some really big damage numbers. As part of ensuring you get the best out of Thor, make sure you’re also attaining at least 100% Critical Rate and some Accuracy to help land the Decrease Speed and Stun debuffs.

In terms of Artifact Sets, we recommend Sets such as Savage, Cruel, Merciless, Critical Damage, or anything else that increases the wearer’s Attack, Critical Damage, and ability to ignore a portion of an enemy’s Defense stat.

BLESSINGS

As an Attack-type Champion with an exclusive focus on dealing as much damage as possible, there are three Blessings we’d recommend for Thor Faehammer in RAID: Shadow Legends.

First up, we have Lightning Cage, which enables a Champion to deal bonus damage based on Lightning Orb stacks which are gained whenever an enemy receives a buff or has their Turn Meter filled. It’s ideal for taking on buff-heavy teams in the Arena where Turn Meter increases and buffs are commonplace – not to mention it’s a perfect fit for Thor’s thunderous personality!

For PvE content such as taking on Bosses or wave-based content with enemies that have high MAX HP, Thor Faehammer will benefit more from picking up either the Cruelty or Brimstone Blessings.

Cruelty will decrease a target’s Defenses until the end of a Round with each hit, meaning Thor and his allies can deal even greater damage. On the other hand, Brimstone will give Thor a chance to place a Smite debuff for 2 turns. The Smite debuff will deal damage equal to 25% of an enemy’s MAX HP whenever they use an active skill, as well as additional damage to each other enemy equal to 5% of their MAX HP. When paired with Thor’s Thunder counter, you can constantly be pumping out AoE damage.

With either of these Blessings, Thor can massively increase his damage dealt in longer fights against enemies with higher MAX HP.

THOR FAEHAMMER TACTICS

Getting the most out of Thor Faehammer in RAID: Shadow Legends means pairing him with Support Champions that can place buffs which increase his damage, or debuffs that leave enemy defenses wide open. This mighty Fae warrior will be most useful in any of Raid’s three PvP content areas, but will find great usage across the entirety of the game, given his high damage potential.

DUNGEONS

As previously mentioned, Thor is an all-out attacker, dealing massive damage with powerful AoE skills that can wreck an entire team.

For most of the Dungeons, including the Potion Keeps, Dragon’s Lair, Ice Golem’s Peak, and Fire Knight’s Castle, Thor will come in very handy for helping clear the waves of enemies prior to taking on the Boss. His specialty will be the Spider’s Den, where Thor Faehammer can use his AoE skills to effectively keep the Spiderlings out of the fight.

DOOM TOWER

Clearing the waves of enemies in Doom Tower Floors is Thor Faehammer’s bread and butter in RAID: Shadow Legends. Thor can also be used in several Secret Rooms in the Doom Tower – whether it be requiring Champions who are Attack-type, Magic Affinity, from the Barbarians Faction, or simply just of Legendary Rarity.

Finally, if equipped with the Brimstone Blessing, Thor can assist in taking down Doom Tower Bosses such as Sorath the Frost Spider and Agreth the Nether Spider, though he will be less suited to Bommal the Dreadhorn and Borgoth the Scarab King.

FACTION WARS

There are several great Champions that Thor can pair with to take on the Barbarians Faction Crypt – including his former friend, Loki the Deceiver and Scyl of the Drakes, who are both available for free simply by logging into the game. Scyl offers a revive, and Loki can place Perfect Veil buffs on his allies, enabling Thor to avoid the enemy’s focus while dishing out major damage.

THOR FAEHAMMER TEAM COMBINATIONS

Fulfilling his role as the primary damage-dealer, or “nuker”, means that Thor Faehammer can reasonably slot into almost any team. Check out our recommendations for some key pairings with Thor in RAID: Shadow Legends!

As mentioned above, pairing Thor with Champions such as Loki the Deceiver and Xena: Warrior Princess will be fantastic for taking on the Barbarians Faction Crypt in the Faction Wars game mode. Together, Thor and Xena can dominate enemies with powerful attacks, while Loki covers them with his Perfect Veil buff placement.

Another two Champions from the Barbarians Faction that will work well with Thor across multiple game modes are Warmaiden and Armina, who can both place a 60% Decrease Defense debuff on all enemies. These are vital debuffs allowing Thor Faehammer to reach his true damage potential.

THOR FAEHAMMER KEY INFO

STRENGTHS

WEAKNESSES

  • Thor can attack all enemies with multiple skills, meaning he’s ideal for taking on enemies in the Arena.
  • He can also self-buff himself with Increase Attack and Increase Critical Damage buffs to hit even harder.
  • Thor can passively increase his damage with the Thunder counter, stacking up extra damage before unleashing another AoE attack.
  • Needs to be paired with debuffers and other Support-type Champions to really maximize Thor’s potential.
  • Damage increases will fluctuate when relying on the Thunder counter alone without buffs from ally Champions.
  • There isn’t much room for flexibility in Thor’s builds – he needs to be built as a damage-dealer with plenty of Attack and Critical Damage.
