WHY PLAY MICHELANGELO IN RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS?
As a Legendary Champion, Michelangelo is already one of the best Champions that RAID: Shadow Legends has to offer, but it’s his ability to taunt his opponents and evade their attacks that makes him one of the most radical!
Michelangelo is an all-round good damage-dealing Attack-type Champion who also offers key buffs, debuffs, and self-sustainability within his skillset. He can unleash a torrent of trash-talking using the Taunt buff to draw attention away from his allies, and then Evade enemy skills entirely using his sweet tricks!
HOW TO GET MICHELANGELO IN RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS?
Michelangelo will be available during the Michelangelo Chase. Simply open RAID: Shadow Legends on 7 different days between August 21, 2025, and November 13, 2025, to add him to your Collection. You must start the Michelangelo Chase by October 30, 2025, to get him.
WHAT ARE MICHELANGELO’S SKILLS?
- Boo-Yah! – Attacks 1 enemy 2 times. If either hit was critical, places a 50% Increase ATK buff on this Champion for 2 turns.
- Express Delivery! – Attacks 1 enemy. Before attacking, has a 75% chance of placing a 60% Decrease DEF debuff on the target for 2 turns. Has a 75% chance of placing a Stun debuff for 1 turn. Will ignore 25% of the target’s RES if the attack is critical. Then applies a Debuff Spread effect, taking all debuffs from the target and placing them on all enemies. Will ignore 25% of each target’s RES if the initial attack was critical.
- Shell Cyclone – Attacks all enemies. Has a 75% chance of placing a 50% Decrease ATK debuff and a Leech debuff for 2 turns. Will ignore 25% of each target’s RES if the attack was critical. Then places a Taunt buff on this Champion for 2 turns.
- Party Dude [P] – [Passive Effect] – Has a 15% chance to Evade an enemy skill and all of its accompanying effects. If this Champion is under a Taunt buff, the chance to Evade increases to 30%. Whenever Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, or Raphael attacks, this Champion joins in that attack. [Active Effect] – Places a Shield buff equal to 300% of this Champion’s ATK on this Champion for 1 turn when they receive a hit.
Michelangelo also has an Aura that increases all allies’ Accuracy by 70 in all battles.
MICHELANGELO RECOMMENDATIONS
Although he’s not the most hard-hitting Attack-type Champion, Michelangelo is more than capable of wreaking havoc on an enemy team with debuffs and the ever-present threat of being able to Evade an enemy skill and all its accompanying effects. As well as placing a Shield buff on himself and teaming up with his brothers to join in their attacks, Michelangelo can be a real pain for enemy teams to deal with. MASTERIES
As an Attack-type Champion, Offense Masteries are a must for Michelangelo. The beauty of him being a hybrid Champion is that you can then choose how you’d like to utilize the remainder of his Mastery Scrolls. You could go down the Support Mastery route for additional Accuracy to help land vital debuffs against enemies with high Resistance, such as Clan Bosses or high-level enemies in content such as Doom Tower or Cursed City. Alternatively, you could build into the Defense Mastery tree to give Michelangelo a chance at counterattacking, increasing the likelihood he has an Increase Attack buff on himself at all times.
GEAR
Making sure Mikey has the best Gear is all about maximizing his Critical Rate stat and making sure it’s at that all-important 100%. If you can guarantee that Michelangelo will be landing critical hits with every strike, he’ll also ignore a portion of his enemies’ Resistance as well, making those Stun, Decrease Attack, and Leech debuffs much trickier to resist. As an Attack-type Champion, you’ll also want to focus on building up Michelangelo’s Attack, Speed, and Critical Damage to ensure he’s still hitting hard. If you can, also consider putting more Accuracy into his build to help land those aforementioned debuffs that Michelangelo can use in his kit.
In terms of specific Sets that you can use, there’s plenty of good options that you can use. Depending on your progression within the game, you could either pick up something simple and easy to use, like Accuracy, Speed, or Critical Damage to help boost those base stats for Michelangelo. If you’re in the late-game and you’re able to access content such as Cursed City or Live Arena, then we recommend going for either the Merciless or Stonecleaver variable Gear Sets.
Both Sets will increase the wearer’s Attack, Speed, and Critical Damage, but the bonuses they offer vary. Merciless grants the wearer a 30% chance to reduce a random skill’s cooldown by 1 turn when dealing damage, as well as enabling them to ignore 35% of their target’s Defense, and a 15% chance to get an Extra Turn. Stonecleaver, on the other hand, enables the wearer to ignore 20% of their target’s Defense, but also increases their damage against Stone Skin shields by 100%.
BLESSINGS
As a Champion who can fulfil the role of either damage-dealer or debuffer on any team he’s a part of, Michelangelo will benefit from a great number of different Blessings that offer different boons. If you’re gearing your Mikey up for taking on Stone Skin-shielded enemies in the Arena and you’ve picked up the Stonecleaver Gear set, then we recommend also picking up the Cracking Roots Blessing to grant Michelangelo an even greater damage boost against Stone Skin shields.
However, if you’re looking for more general options, we recommend either Nature’s Wrath or Brimstone. The former increases a Champion’s damage inflicted for every debuff they place – perfect for a Champion like Michelangelo! – and the latter enables a Champion to place a Smite debuff which rains down fiery damage upon an enemy. Both of these Blessings are perfect for longer fights against enemies with higher MAX HP, which you’ll encounter a lot of as you progress through the PvE game modes of RAID: Shadow Legends.
MICHELANGELO TACTICS
Whether you choose to build your Michelangelo as either a damage-dealer or a debuffer, or a hybrid of the two, this radical Ninja Turtle is a great pick for many of the different PvE modes within RAID: Shadow Legends. Whether you’re a new player just starting out and you’re looking for someone to take down your enemies, or you’re a seasoned veteran who needs a Champion that can dish out damage and valuable debuffs at the same time, Michelangelo is a fine choice. DUNGEONS
Michelangelo can be a very valuable Champion to any team when taking on the various Dungeons of Teleria in RAID: Shadow Legends. With the emphasis on having a high Critical Rate in his kit, Michelangelo can consistently land critical hits to ignore his enemies’ Resistance and land debuffs such as Leech, Decrease Attack, Decrease Defense, and Stun. These are four incredibly powerful debuffs to blunt their attacks, carve open their defenses.
DOOM TOWER
Similarly to above, Michelangelo can excel in the Doom Tower clearing waves of enemies but he can also prove effective against a number of the Bosses there as well thanks to his debuffs. Placing Decrease Attack debuffs can nullify a lot of the damage that these monstrous foes put out, Decrease Defense debuffs means your allies can deal more damage, and Leech debuffs mean that your allies can sustain themselves by inflicting damage upon the debuffed target.
FACTION WARS
Faction Wars is another area of RAID: Shadow Legends where Michelangelo can shine. Alongside other powerful Champions from the Banner Lords, such as Staltus Dragonbane, Minaya, Acelin the Stalwart, Taras the Fierce, or Marichka the Unbreakable, Michelangelo can become a powerful force on the battlefield.
MICHELANGELO TEAM COMBINATIONS
As an Attack-type Champion who also relies on Accuracy to land his debuffs, you’ll want to pair Michelangelo with other Champions who can take advantage of the debuffs he places, place new debuffs, or deal significantly more damage and use Mikey as a secondary damage dealer.
If you plan to use Michelangelo primarily as a damage-dealer, then we’d recommend pairing him with someone who can place defense-reducing debuffs, such as Decrease Defense and Weaken. One such Champion available to all players is Warmaiden, a Rare Champion who can be obtained through the Campaign and can place a 60% Decrease Defense debuff on all enemies for 2 turns. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a primary damage-dealer to take advantage of the debuffs Michelangelo is placing, there’s great options in the forms of Sun Wukong or Rotos the Lost Groom. As part of a team, Michelangelo can be a thorn in the side of any opponent in RAID: Shadow Legends!
